Metro Art – Public Art Opportunities in Sydney – EOI application due: Monday 27 August, 5pm
August 9, 2018 @ 12:00 am - August 27, 2018 @ 5:00 pm
Create NSW is calling for artists to register their interest to develop artworks for seven new Sydney Metro railway stations. Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. This is an opportunity to contribute to Sydney’s new metro railway, and to leave a lasting impression on the people and the city of Sydney.
Create NSW is seeking expressions of interest to bring world-class art to seven new underground metro stations. The seven stations are: Crows Nest Station, Victoria Cross Station in North Sydney, Barangaroo Station, Martin Place Station, Pitt Street Station, Central Station and Waterloo Station.
Two art programs are proposed;
- Integrated and sculptural artworks (each station will be allocated between $850,000 and $2,350,000 for integrated and sculptural artwork)
- and screen based artworks (each station will be allocated between $20,000 and $50,000 for the commissioning of up to two screen based artworks)
EOI application due: Monday 27 August, 5pm
