Appin Koalas
Visitors to Appin should be sure to pose for a photo in front of the town’s most popular resident, the giant fibreglass koala. The Koala can we found on the corner of Appin Road and Market Street, near the Appin hotel and park.
The Koala is an icon highlighting the importance of the koala population in the region. The structure sparks conversation and engagement about conservation and planning for the future.
There are also a number of smaller Koala’s commissioned by local artists placed around the town. The smaller structures will continue to pop up and are slowly creating a trail of cute colourful koalas.
